Around 15% of people have a learning difficulty, which means they can find it harder to learn certain skills.
By studying this online course you'll improve your understanding and awareness of learning difficulties, including ADHD, dyslexia and dyscalculia. It's a great choice if you have caring responsibilities or are working in healthcare, social care or education.
This course is delivered entirely online and can be studied at a pace that suits you. You could complete in as little as 6 weeks dependent on the time you can commit.
You'll learn:
- the characteristics of ADHD, ADD, dyslexia and dyscalculia
- how specific learning difficulties can affect children and adults in different ways
- the importance of early diagnosis
- the various assessment methods available to diagnose specific learning difficulties
- how individuals can be supported to gain, start and continue with study and employment
This Level 2 course is free if you:
- currently live in England
- are aged 19+
- have been a resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years
- are not be on an apprenticeship
On successful completion of this course, you’ll have earned a NCFE CACHE Level 2 certificate which could also help you progress your career, or enter a new sector – whilst giving you the tools you need to support those with specific learning difficulties.
