Over 3 million people in the UK have been diagnosed with diabetes, and many more are living with undiagnosed diabetes.

Diabetes is a growing health problem worldwide, but it can be prevented, delayed or managed with simple lifestyle changes.

By studying this course, you'll increase your understanding and awareness of diabetes, particularly if you're already working in the health and social care sector.

This course is delivered both online and in the classroom, so can fit around your other commitments.

On this course you'll study the following topics:

  • Understanding diabetes

  • Diabetes in context

  • The treatment and management of diabetes

  • Complications of diabetes

You will need to show a keen interest in developing your knowledge of care and management of diabetes. You may already be working in the healthcare sector and are looking to upskill in this specialist area of care.

On successful completion of this course, you’ll have earned a NCFE/CACHE Level 3 certificate which could help you progress in your career.
