If you’re already working in an early years setting and are looking to take the next step in your career, this course will help you to develop your leadership skills and prepare you for management responsibilities.
You’ll build on your knowledge and understanding of early years practice and develop the skills you’ll need for coaching and mentoring others.
The content of this course covers the age range from 0-5 years. It’ll focus on:
- enabling children to learn
- promoting health and wellbeing
- special educational needs
- working with families implementing change
On this course you’ll develop and use skills of leadership, mentoring, coaching and reflection. As you’ll be currently working in an early-years setting whilst studying this course, you’ll be able to make the most of work-based learning opportunities and complete assessments based on these.
You’ll need to be aged 19 or over, have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare and be currently employed in an early-years setting to be eligible for this course.
On completion of this course, you’ll be awarded a CACHE Level 4 Certificate. This can provide career progression opportunities into leadership positions or to take on a specialist role such as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator or a Physical Activity and Nutrition Coordinator.
