This course is suitable for adult learners aged 25+ with a formal diagnosis of a learning disability.
In the UK there are 1.13 million adults with learning challenges. Across the country there’s a lack of educational facilities and opportunities for adults aged over 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and only 6% of people with a learning challenge are in any form of regular paid employment.
This course aims to improve the educational experience and future employment prospects of our adult SEND learners.
This 3-day a week course is a great option for adults who want to develop their Maths and English, independent living and employability skills in preparation for paid employment.
As part of the course, you'll study:
- Painting and Decorating
- Business Admin
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. After you've applied we'll have an informal interview to find out what level of study and support might be right for you.
On completion of the course, you can progress onto the REACH supported internship where you'll develop the employability skills needed to succeed in gaining future paid employment.
