Are you looking to pursue a career in healthcare, fitness or nutrition?

On this course you’ll develop your understanding of nutrition and health, and will boost your CV with a recognised qualification at the same time.

If you’re already working in healthcare or the fitness industry, you’ll be able to apply your new skills and knowledge into your current role.

You’ll learn about healthy eating and the role of food in maintaining good health. You’ll increase your confidence in planning and achieving a healthy diet and understand how dietary requirements change throughout life. You’ll also learn about food labelling and what the information from food labels really means.

On the course you’ll also find out more about eating disorders and the principles of food safety in the home.

There are no specific entry requirements on this course, but you'll need to have a keen interest in the health and fitness industry.

On completion of this course you'll have gained a Level 2 qualification in Nutrition and Health. You could progress to a gym instructing or personal training course, or could study a Level 3 in Sport and Fitness.

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
