If you're thinking about a career in the sports industry then this is a great course where you can develop your skills, experience and knowledge.

You will learn and apply key aspects of sports subjects to help towards working in industry. You'll study units such as fitness testing and training, practical sport, psychology for sports performance and much more.

There are practical assessments and video presentations on this course to help you develop the employability skills you'll need for industry and roles within sports industry. There are some written assignments you will also need to complete.

You will need to have 4 GCSEs at grades 2 and 3 to apply for this course.

You are actively encouraged to source your own work placements in the industry to help apply the technical knowledge your learn during lessons.

The Level 2 BTEC Certificate in Sport provides an excellent stepping stone for progression to our Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport.

Alternatively, you may decide to progress to a Level 3 apprenticeship as a Community, Sport and Health Officer or look to become a Personal Trainer with one of our employer partners, DW Fitness

Where it can lead to

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
