Aiming to go to university to study adult/children mental health nursing, or occupational therapy?
This course will give you the skills you need to progress onto the degree programme of your choice!
As well as specific subject knowledge, this course will help you put your education into practice.
Learners will be assessed through coursework, presentations, debates and exams.
Work experience is highly desirable to support your UCAS application. You'll also need literacy skills - either via GCSE English or Level 2 Functional Skills.
The Access programme requires the study of 19 units, over 9 month period and therefore to successfully complete this programme you'll require a lot of self-discipline and resilience. It's designed for mature learners who have substantial work, personal or academic experience and can demonstrate that they have successfully overcome challenges before.
Access to HE Diploma courses are for students aged 19+ by 31st August in the year in which they start the Access programme. You must have, or be enrolled on, a level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE qualification in English and maths.
Course tutors have extensive experience in preparing students for:
- Further and higher education programmes
- Employment in related sectors
We'll support you if you wish to find further work experience via placements during the programme.
