Our Skills for Independence and Work course is suitable for those with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND).
This qualification covers social and career development, as well as English, maths and IT.
You'll study the following units:
- Personal and Social Development
- Work Skills
- Functional Skills: English, Maths and I.T.
You'll also learn about the following:
- Recreational activities
- Catering
- Retail
- Art & Design
- Horticulture
There will be regular tutorial sessions with a personal coach to discuss study plans and progression. Learners will study an Entry Level qualification at a level suited to their personal learning style/ability to enable them to each their potential.
You will be assessed in a variety of ways including assignments and a portfolio of evidence.
There are no formal entry requirements. You will be asked to attend an interview at college and assessed to make sure you're studying at the right level.
Successful completion of this programme can lead to further progression onto our Vocational Studies course at a higher level.
