Our Independent Living Skills course is suitable for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Our great qualification covers: cooking, gardening, leisure activities, art & design and much more.

Embedded learning in the following practical areas:
- Independent Living
- Recreational Activities
- Cooking
- Art and Design
- Horticulture
- Active Leisure

The programme aims to work on independent skills by using practical situations and by using the community to gain experience and information.

Regular tutorial sessions will take place to discuss study plans and progress, as well as an annual review to discuss progression.

Learners will be assessed in a variety of ways including observation, photographs, tutor statement, projects and a portfolio of evidence.

You'll undertake exams in English, Maths and IT.

You will be asked to attend an interview at the college and will be assessed prior to entry and offered a place on the most appropriate programme of study.

Learners will be able to progress onto a higher level programme within the Skills for Life & Work Sector.
