This course is suitable for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Our qualification will develop, your maths, English and IT skills and cover career skills including: gardening, catering & hospitability and art.
You will develop your skills in English, Maths & ICT together with completing a course of units which will prepare you for work related skills and experience at and beyond college.
Units may include vocational topics such as Horticulture, Catering & Hospitality, as well as Art & Design and Career and Self-Assessment.
You will undertake throughout the year special projects related to your learning, for example organising a major event, planning trips out, inviting guests to support your learning, for example the local fire brigade and representatives from Connexions and training.
You will complete units for your BTEC Certificate which will be assessed by your tutor and internally verified. You will sit Functional Skills tests in English, Maths & ICT
None. You will have an interview and an assessment at Rush Green.
You could progress to the next level which is called New Directions or possibly a mainstream course depending on your progress.
