Black History Month

Dagenham, Romford RM7 0XU, UK

8:30am on Saturday 31st October 2020

At Barking & Dagenham College, we acknowledge that Black history is our history.

(Internal Event Only)

We proudly represent a diverse learner and staff community which will not tolerate racism or discrimination.

Our learners and colleagues should be free to be themselves and feel celebrated at Barking & Dagenham College - where every single individual feels safe and supported.

This October, we are celebrating and focusing on Black culture, both past and present, to look back, reflect and understand Black history. To continue to raise awareness and to recognise there is still a lot more to do to establish equality throughout our college, local communities and across the world.

To celebrate the diversity that Black culture adds to our communities, we are hosting a Black History Month programme throughout this month with a variety of activities across the college.
